MONTREAL, Que. (October 30, 2009) – The Queen's men's hockey team lost to the McGill Redmen 10-1 on Friday night.
After a scoreless first period, McGill took control of the game with three goals in the first ten minutes of the second.
Jordan Mirwaldt of Winnipeg, Man., scored a shorthanded goal to pull the Gaels to within two but McGill would respond with two more before the period was out.
The Redmen continued to dominate the game in the third period and skated away with their third win of the season. The loss drops the Gaels record to 2-3-0 on the year.
Queen's will look to rebound tomorrow afternoon when they take to the ice against the Concordia Stingers. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
