Gaels take over top spot in the OUA East with win over Trent

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. (October 3, 2009) – The Queen's women's soccer team took over top spot in the OUA East Division with a 4-0 win over the Trent Excalibur on Saturday afternoon.

The Gaels got two goals from forward Kelli Chamberlain of North Bay, Ont., and Renee MacLellan of Kingston, Ont. The fourth goal was an own goal from the Excalibur.

The win moves the Gaels record to 7-1-1 on the season while Trent fall to 1-9-1.

Queen's will be back home tomorrow afternoon to take on the Ryerson Rams. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 pm at Richardson Stadium.
