Gaels come up short against Toronto and York

TORONTO, Ont. (October 18, 2009) – The Queen's Field Hockey team lost a pair of games on Sunday to the Toronto Varsity Blues and the York Lions.

In their opening game against Toronto, the Gaels were shutout by a score of 4-0.

The second game against York saw Emily Newton of Vancouver, B.C., find the back of the net but the Gaels could not find any more offence as they fell 4-1.

Queen's wraps up regular season play next weekend as they take on the Western Mustangs in Guelph.
