PETERBOROUGH, Ont. (October 14, 2009) – The Queen's Men's soccer team earned their second-straight shutout victory as they defeated the Trent Excalibur by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday night.
The game was a makeup contest as the original matchup was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The only goal of the game was scored in the 22nd minute by Michael Arnold of London, Ont., from the penalty spot.
Sean Martin-Courtright of Calgary, Alta., earned the shutout victory by making one save on the night.
The Gaels will be back in action on Friday afternoon as they take on the Carleton Ravens at Richardson Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:15 pm.
