Waterloo, Ont. (January 16, 2009) – The Waterloo Warriors dusted the Queen's Gaels 4-0 in Ontario University Athletics (OUA) men's hockey action on Friday in Waterloo, Ont.
Brady Morrison of Thamesville, Ont., turned aside 41 shots allowing four goals in three-periods of play. Morrison allowed one goal in the first and the third while giving up two in the second.
Queen's offensive managed only 15 shots against goalie Pier Pelletier of St-Louis-du-Ha!Ha!, Que., who recorded his first shutout of the season.
Waterloo was 2 for 9 on the power-play while the Gaels came up empty in eight chances. Overall Queen's tallied 32 penalty minutes while the Warriors recorded 30 in a chippy game.
Tomorrow Queen's will face-off against the No. 6 ranked Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks at the Waterloo Recreation Centre beginning at 7:30pm. Tonight Laurier toppled Royal Military College 8-3.
Queen's is currently in second place of the OUA Mid-East division with 14 points with a record of 6-12-2.
