Kingston, Ont. (January 10, 2009) – #Michael Bushby
# of Thunder Bay, Ont. broke a goalless streak of over a 132 minutes, but it wasn't enough as the Gaels lost 6-2 to No. 5 ranked Lakehead Thunderwolves in men's hockey on Saturday at the Kingston Memorial Centre.
Bushby capitalized on the power play scoring his second of the campaign at 12:52 of the first period. His goal was assisted by
Matthew Hill of Creighton, Sask., and Jonathan Lawrance of Steinbach, Man. Bushby's goal was Queen's first in 132 minutes and 52 second since earning an overtime win against No. 2 ranked UQTR on November 28 in Kingston.
David Chubb of St. George's Nfld., was the Gaels other scorer adding his fourth of the year in the third period making the score 5-2. Lakehead would add an empty net goal to finish the game 6-2.
Scoring from the Thunderwolves were Adam Sergerie (Thunder Bay, Ont.) with a pair while Dan Speer (Thunder Bay, Ont.), Mark Soares (Burnaby, B.C.), Kris Hogg (Sicamous, B.C.) and Andrew Brown (Bancroft, Ont.) all added a goal and an assist apiece.

Brady Morrison of Thamesville, Ont. allowed four goals on 23 shots while
Mackenzie Ball of Corbyville, Ont. played the final frame allowing just one goal on seven shots. Kyle Moir of Calgary captured the win for the Thunderwolves.
Queen's outshot Lakehead 37-32 marking the second night in a row in which they outshot a team.
Last night the Gaels fell 1-0 to the Wolves who managed to take both games in Kingston. Morrison turned aside 34-shots while Chris Whitley of Oshawa, Ont. captured his first shutout of the season.
Next week the Gaels will travel to the Kitchener-Waterloo region to take on Laurier and Waterloo. Laurier is currently ranked No. 6 in the country while Waterloo ranks No. 10. Following that road trip, the Gaels remaining seven games all come against Mid-East opponents.
Currently Queen's sits in second place of the Mid-East, six points behind first place Toronto and two points ahead of cross town rival Royal Miltiary College. Toronto plays Laurier later tonight while RMC won against Windsor 3-1 today.
NOTES: The OHL's Niagara Ice Dogs, in town for a matinee matchup against the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday, were in attendance to take in the game against the Thunderwolves. Gaels forward
