Kingston, Ontario (September 21, 2008)- The men's lacrosse team won both games in a home and home series this weekend against the Carleton Ravens improving their record to 3-1. This is a huge turn around for the Gaels as they went 0-8-0 last season.
In Saturday's away game being tied at 3 early in the second quarter but went on to a 14- 5 win.
Nathan Leader led the way with 6 goals and an assist. Matt Denis had 3 goals, Andrew Reburn had 2 while Josh Booth, Stephen Bathe and Shaun Denis each scored once.
Sunday's home game saw Queen's get off to a better start, going up 4-0. They eventually won the contest 13-8. Matt Denis led the scoring with 3 goals and 4 assists. Torey Kohara had 4 goals and 2 assists.
Nathan Leader had 3 goals and 2 assists. Kevin Harper, Stephen Bathe and Mark Wheeler each had a goal. Queen's is back in action next Sunday at 1:00pm where they will play University of Toronto at the North Field of Richardson Stadium.
