Gaels tie twice in London

London, Ont. (September 20, 2008) – Queen's field hockey tied twice over the weekend posting an overall record of 0-1-2 in a three game set hosted by the Western Mustangs.
 
On Saturday, the Gaels matched up against host Western Mustangs and earned a 1-1 tie. Gillian Lester of Peterborough, Ont. scored for the Gaels. In the second match, Queen's met undefeated Toronto and fell to Toronto in a lopsided 8-0 loss.
 
On Sunday, the Gaels rebounded from the tough loss against Toronto to tying Waterloo 2-2. Lester was once again a goal scorer while Casey Tulk of Kingston, Ont. netted her second goal of the season.
 
Queen's will now break until October 4 when they head to Ottawa for another three game set. During that weekend series the Gaels will meet Guelph, York and Western. The Gaels have a 1-2-2 record and sit in fourth place of the OUA standings. Guelph is currently in first place while Toronto is second.
