London, Ont. (September 20, 2008) Pat Richardson of Vancouver, B.C. did everything he could to help the Gaels defeat Western but his solo 10 points were not enough to edge the Mustangs as Western and Queen's tied 12-12 on Saturday.
The first half saw the Gaels take a 7-5 lead with Richardson's first try and a conversion by
Ryan Kruyne of Dunrobin, Ont. The second half saw the Mustangs charge back into the game. Richardson added his second score of the game, but the conversion was no good and the game ended in a draw.
Queen's record now sits at 1-0-1 on the season and will travel to Hamilton to face McMaster next Saturday, September 27.
