Soccer (W): Gaels lose 3-2 to Nipissing
North Bay, Ont. (September 13, 2008) - Angela Sullivan of Scarborough, Ont., and Kelli Chamberlain of North Bay, Ont. scored for the Queen's women's soccer team losing 3-2 in a heartbreaker to Nipissing.
Sullivan and Chamberlain tried to rally the team by scoring seven minutes apart late in the game but were stopped short. The clincher for Nipissing came when Stephanie Stubbert scored at the 68 minute to put Nipissing up 3-1. The Gaels responded with Chamberlan's goal at the 75 minute, but could not muster additional offence.
Queen's moves to a 2-2 record in the young 2008 season and will continue their road trip on Sunday when they meet Laurentian. The Gaels return home to face the Ottawa Gee-Gees next Saturday on September, 20.
