Queen's rowers recognized at Rowing Canada's awards banquet

Mississauga, Ont. (December 15, 2008) – A number of Queen's rowers were honoured by Rowing Canada during its annual general meeting and award banquet which took place last week in Mississauga, Ont.

Among the recipients who currently attend Queen's were: Rob Ballard (Vancouver), John Barr (St. Catharines, Ont.), Rares Crisan (Mississauga, Ont.), Morgan Jarvis (Clearwater Bay, Ont.), Ryan Meyers (Kingston, Ont.), and Alex Meiklejohn (Toronto). Isolda Penny of Kingston, Ont. garnered Female Sculler of the Year and is a former graduate of Queen's University.
