Zeeman carries Gaels in win over Guelph

Zeeman records 17 kills and 18 points against Guelph
Guelph, Ont.(November 9, 2008) - Joren Zeeman of Cambridge, Ont. continued his impresive season as he would help carry the Gaels in a 3-1 victory over Guelph on Sunday afternoon. Zeeman would record 17 kills three digs and a stuff block to finish the game with 18 points .

Queen's would start the game off well taking the first set 25-20 but then falling to the Gryphons in the second set 19-25. The Gaels would turn the game around taking the a close third set 25-22 and finished off Guelph in the fourth set 25-18.

Defensively the Gaels got a great performance from Libero Stuart Hamilton of Ottawa who had nine digs in his four sets played. Daniel Rosenbaum of of Hamilton, Ont. had a solid performance recording the teams only ace along with 49 assists.

Queen's record moves to 4-2 on the season and will look to build off this victory next Friday night when they play host to York at the Barlett Gymnasuim in Kingson, Ont. Game time is scheduled for 8:00pm. Tickets are available by calling 613.533.2500.
