Waterloo, Ont. (November 9, 2008) - Up against No. 2 nationally ranked and undefeated Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, the Gaels lost a one-sided affair 5-1 to the defending OUA champions on Sunday afternoon.
Queen's was out shot 42-13 and net minder
Katie Boyd of Richmond, Hill struggled as she allowed five goals on 32 Laurier shots.
Melissa John of Unionville, Ont. replaced Boyd in the third period and denied all 10 shots she faced.
John's effort was not enough, as Queen's was held to just one goal for the second straight game.
The Gaels have now lost three in a row and look to rebound next weekend as they travel to Oshawa to play the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). UOIT dealt Queen's their first loss during this three-game slump and the Gaels will be looking for redemption against the Ridgebacks. The game is scheduled for November 15 at 7:30pm.
