Kingston, Ont. (November 29, 2008) – Queen's women's basketball dropped a 75-55 decision to the Windsor Lancers on Saturday night extending their winless streak to four games. The Gaels record slips to 3-6 heading into the exam break.
Rookie Kendra Walker-Roche of Brockville, Ont. would record a career high 14 points hitting five three-pointers in the loss.
Brittany Moore of Hannon, Ont. was the Gaels leading scorer with 16 points.
Windsor would have five players score double digits with Iva Peklova of Prague, Czech Republic leading the way with 16 points and nine rebounds.
For the second straight night, Queen's would struggle to maintain pace with their opponent for at least one quarter. Last night, Western rolled a 23-7 second quarter which was the deciding factor. Tonight Windsor used a 21-8 third to defeat the Gaels.
Queen's will return to action on January 7, 2009 when they take on Royal Military College at home in Bartlett Gymnasium.
