Baris Ondul of Istanbul, Turkey and
Mitch Leger of Kingston, Ont. could not hold off a second half push from McMaster, as the Gaels fell 70-62 to the Maruaders on Saturday.
Ondul led the team in scoring with 17, while Leger grabbed a team-high-tying seven rebounds to go with his 16 points. Queen's were tied at 29 at half, but got outscored but 19 points in the third frame.
McMaster's Aminu Bello of Hamilton had a game high 19 points in the win, and Marko Gacic also from Hamilton, had a strong defensive showing with six rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.
The Gaels (2-4) return to Kingston next weekend, with the Western Mustangs (4-2)on November 28 and Windsor Lancers (4-2) on November 29. Both games start at 8:00 in Bartlett Gymnasium.
