Leger 25 points in the Gaels defeat
St. Catharines, Ont. (November 15, 2008) – Despite a 25 point performance from Mitch Leger of Kingston, Ont., Queen's could not defeat the 2008 reigning Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) men's basketball champions losing 74-65 to Brock.

The Gaels would take a 19-14 lead after the first but could not hold in the second quarter being outscored 22-16 which was ultimately the difference. Queen's would try to battle back into the game, but Brock made some timely shots in the final frame and posted 10 more points than the Gaels in the fourth to earn the victory.

St. Catharines natives Joel Whitty and Didi Mukendi were Brock's high scorers each recording 18. Leger's 25 was the game high with Dan Bannister of Newmarket, Ont. breaking into double digits securing an additional 10 points for the Gaels.

Queen's record remains at .500 (2-2) after splitting the weekend set between Brock and Guelph. Last night the Gaels disposed of the Gryphons 70-64. The Gaels contend against Lakehead next weekend in Thunder Bay on Friday night and then will play McMaster on Saturday in Hamilton. Both games are set for an 8:00pm tip off.
