Ottawa (October 4, 2008) – Queen's couldn't muster any offence against Ottawa as the Gaels lost 1-0 to the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday.
The Gaels, who earned a decisive 2-0 win against Ottawa just weeks ago, couldn't duplicate their effort in a defensive battle. Gee-Gee's goalie Jess Charron of Ottawa earned the shutout with Courtney Luscombe of Ottawa scoring. Katie McKenna of Oakville, Ont. was in goal for the Gaels making two saves.
With the loss the Gaels record sits at 5-4 on the season and they move into a tie for fourth place with Laurentian. Queen's will travel to Trent to take on the Excalibur tomorrow afternoon before coming home to face Royal Military College (RMC) on Wednesday October 8.
