Beth is heading into her 16th season with the Gaels, her 13th as head coach. Barz led the Gaels to the programs best ever finish taking the U SPORTS Silver medal in 2015. The Gaels, who hosted the 2015 U SPORTS Championship, started as the No.8 seed and made their way to the championship match. The 2013 season saw the Gaels win their first provincial banner and grab a U SPORTS bronze medal. 

A Queen’s graduate and women’s rugby alumnus from the School of Physical Education, she has completed her NCCP Level Four Coaching credentials. Beth also completed the National Team Apprenticeship Program and is currently involved with the National Coaching Institute as a module facilitator and mentor coach. Beth has previously worked with teams from Canada U20, Canada U18, Ontario U17 15s and 7s and at the high school where she teaches in Sydenham. She was also recently certified as an IRB Educator and regularly instructs National Coaching Certification Programs in rugby and fundamental movement skills. In 2006, Beth was named CIS Coach of the Year and in 2013-14 named the OUA Fox40 Female Coach of the Year.
