Payton Liske of Welland, Ont., scored his first career CIS hat-trick on Saturday night as the Gaels defeated the Nipissing Lakers 6-3. The first year commerce student scored two goals less than two minutes apart to stake the Gaels to a 3-0 lead and then completed the hat-trick with a powerplay marker late in the third period. The former Saint John Sea Dog now has 14 goals on the season and currently sits second in rookie goal scoring in the OUA.
