Shomari Williams of Brampton, Ont., was named the MVP of the Mitchell Bowl as the No. 4 Queen’s Gaels upset the No. 1 Laval Rouge et Or 33-30 on Saturday afternoon. The fourth year concurrent education major had 3.5 of the Gaels 8 sacks on Laval QB Benoit Groulx in the game. Williams also had a game-high 7 total tackles as Queen’s advanced to their first Vanier Cup appearance since 1992.
