Mike Tomlinson (Stratford, Ont.) of the men’s volleyball team is the Queen’s University Male Athlete of the Week. The second-year outside hitter led the Gaels to their 3-2 (25-15, 22-25, 26-24, 23-25, 15-10) over the Windsor Lancers on Saturday afternoon. He led the Gaels with 24 kills, and also chipped in with a pair of service aces, five digs and five block assists. Tomlinson finished with a game-high 28.5 points. On Sunday against Western, Tomlinson was also in double figures, as he recorded 17.5 points on 15 kills, one ace and three block assists. He also chipped in with five digs as the Gaels dropped a close four-set decision to the Mustangs.
