Liam Underwood (Toronto, Ont.) of the men’s rugby team is the Queen’s University Male Athlete of the Week. The third-year fly half scored 10 of the Gaels’ 15 first-half points as they cruised past the Brock Badgers, 46-3, in an OUA semifinal. Underwood opened the scoring with a try in the 11th minute, and followed up with a penalty goal four minutes later and a conversion on the stroke of halftime. He added another conversion in the second half to finish with a team-high 12 points. The Gaels will face the Western Mustangs in the 2012 OUA men’s rugby championship on Sunday, November 11 at Nixon Field.
