Brittany Almeida (Elginburg, Ont.) of women's soccer is the Queen’s University Female Athlete of the Week. The first-year striker led the Gaels with a hat trick in their 6-0 win over the Trent Excalibur on Sunday afternoon. Almedia opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, and added goals in the 54th and 71st minutes, as the Gaels clinched second place in the OUA East Division, and a first-round bye.
