Nadia Popov (Newmarket, Ont.) is the Queen's University Telus Female Athlete of the Week for the period ending September 16, 2012.

The rookie inside centre led the No. 5-ranked Gaels women’s rugby team with 18 points in their 67-8 win over the U of T Varsity Blues on Saturday afternoon. The Life Sciences major scored 12 of the Gaels’ first 17 points, as they opened up a 36-5 halftime lead and cruised to the victory. She finished with two tries and four conversions on the day.
