Steele De Fazio of Georgetown, Ont., picked up two wins for the men’s hockey team as they defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues and the Nipissing Lakers. The physical and health education major earned the Gaels first win against Toronto after coming into the game in relief of starter David Aime, making six saves as Queen’s came back from two goals down to win in overtime. On Saturday against Nipissing, the third year netminder was outstanding, turning aside 36 shots and all three shooters in the shootout, as Queen’s won 3-2. Overall for the weekend, De Fazio posted a .954 save percentage and a 1.47 goals against average.
