Jacqueline Tessier of Winnipeg, Man., had an outstanding weekend to open the 2010 women’s soccer season. The second year music major scored six times, including both game winning goals, as the Gaels went 2-0 against Carleton and Trent. She opened the scoring against the Ravens on Saturday afternoon before scoring five of the Gaels first seven goals in a 9-1 victory over the Excalibur. This is the second consecutive year that Tessier has been named Queen’s Female Athlete of the Week in the opening week of the season.
