Jan Stirling of Wolfville, N.S. captured two bronze medals as part of the women's 4x200m and 4x400m at the OUA Track & Field Championship this weekend in Toronto. Stirling gathered her first medal in the women’s 4x200m with relay teammates Veronica Catry of Kingston, Pauliina Beretta of Toronto and Marissa Walter of Kentville, N.S.

Her second medal came in the 4x400m along with Catry, Walter and Jennifer Barrow of Brampton, Ont.  The time of three minutes and 51.59 seconds shattered a Queen’s record in the 4x400m and qualified the relay team for the CIS Championship hosted by Windsor from March 12-14.  Stirling’s performance was instrumental in putting the women’s 4x400 team in a position to shatter the Queen’s record and win bronze while being Queen’s most consistent performer throughout the year.
