Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation and collaborating with the Office of Advancement, you will develop and implement a comprehensive alumni-development strategy, which encompasses alumni communication, engagement, relationship-building and fundraising initiatives to support the priorities of the Department as well as various teams and clubs. A results-oriented leader familiar with the sport environment, you demonstrate creative, resourceful thinking abilities as well as strengths in strategy development and implementation, budget and revenue forecasting and program analysis. This role calls for several years of hands-on experience in fundraising and relationship-building programs, including a track record in meeting fundraising objectives, backed by a degree and, ideally, professional certification (CFRE, CAHP, FAHP or equivalent). A background with large database management systems, preferably in a networked environment, is also required. The minimum hiring salary for this position, which involves limited travel and some weekend and evening work, is $56,836. In-Game Announcer-Queen's Gaels Basketball, Volleyball, and Hockey Games
Queen's Home Events is looking for 3-4 enthusiastic sports fans to be the in-game announcers for the 2010-11 season. The announcer is the "host" of the game providing information and entertainment to the home fans. The successful candidate will possess strong vocal skills, good knowledge about the specific sport, and the ability to speak over the microphone to 1000+ spectators.
