LONDON, Ont. - The No.1 Queen's women's cross country team took first overall at the Western Invitational on Saturday morning led behind an individual first-place finish from transfer
Branna MacDougall (Kingston, Ont.) who won her first U SPORTS race.
Eric Wynands (Lyn, Ont.) placed second overall on the men's side helping No.6 Queen's take second as a team.

MacDougall took first place in the 6km race in a time of 20:45 which set a new course record for the Western Invitational. The previous record was held by former Gael
Julie-Anne Staehli at 20:51. Coming in fourth place was former Mustang
Amy Stephenson (Toronto) who finished in a time of 21:43 for Queen's.
Taylor Sills (Odessa, Ont.),
Jade Watson (Toronto) and
Brianna Bradley (Kingston, Ont.) rounded out the Gaels top five finishers in 10th, 19th and 21st respectively.
As a team, Queen's finished with 55 points, 11 ahead of the second place host Western Mustangs.
On the men's side, Wynands ran to a 2nd place finish with a time of 25:14 finishing just 14 seconds shy of the top spot. Following him was
Robert Kanko (Toronto),
Mitchell Kirby (Harrowsmith, Ont.),
Brett Crowley (Kitchener, Ont.) and
Matthew Flood (Kingston, Ont.) who finished 9th, 11th, 14th and 17th respectively.
This put Queen's with a total of 53 points just eight shy of the top placing McMaster Marauders.
