Inspired by last year's 500 miles walk for Parkinson's research performed by alumni Harry McMurty, the Queen's Gaels basketball program put on their second annual 3-on-3 tournament this past weekend.

The second annual event, organized by Gaels basketball star Tanner Graham (Kingston, Ont.), saw 18 teams and over 70 participants at the Queen's Athletics and Recreation Centre.

The event managed to raise $1,700 in support of Parkinson's research and brings the two-year total up to $3,700. 

Members of the Gaels community came out to support the cause as the women's basketball, hockey and men's volleyball teams were all out on the hard court along with strength & conditioning program members.

The Gaels men's basketball team opens their OUA season on Friday, October 27 at 8 pm when they welcome the Lakehead Thunderwolves. For ticket information head to www.gogaelsgo.com/tickets.
