With a win under their belts for 2016 the Gaels will look to make it two in a row when they travel to Waterloo Saturday. The Warriors have yet to claim a victory this season and also have had to deal with playing each week and not having their BYE week just yet.
The Gaels will hope to take advantage and pick up their first road win of the season.
Against Toronto, the defence showed the same strength they have all season and limited Toronto to just five points and no touchdowns. The Queen's offence found some momentum thanks to big yardage gains from
Chris Osei-Kusi (Brampton, Ont.),
Jonah Pataki (Wallaceburg, Ont.) and
Rudy Uhl (North Vancouver, B.C.). Osei-Kusi finished with eight receptions for 153 yards while Pataki slashed a 15 rushes for 105 yards and added one reception for 14 yards.
On Special Teams
Nicholas Fraser-Greene took home the OUA Special Teams Player of the Week honours for his efforts against Toronto. Fraser-Greene returned nine punts for 66 yards in the Gaels 20-5 win against the visiting Varsity Blues. The Mississauga, Ont. native had a hand in the historic first touchdown at the new stadium as his 13-yard return eventually led to
Eric Dodwell's 3 yard run in the second quarter.
