Rowing puts in strong performance at Head of the Rideau

On Sunday the Queen's Men's Rowing Team traveled to Ottawa for the Head of the Rideau Regatta. They braved strong winds to complete their first races of the season on this five kilometer course. Strong performances resulted in several first and second place finishes for the Gaels.

Finishing in first place were the varsity men's double with Eric Farquharson and Rami Maassarani, the varsity lightweight men's coxed four with Jacob Koudys, Jordan Rendall, Matt Christie, Brendan Coffey, and Chris Zakos, as well as the varsity lightweight men's eight with Jordan Wille, Robert Cooper, Jordan Rendall, Mark Bonar, Shane Mullen, Matt Christie, Brendan Coffey, Chris Zakos, and Jacob Koudys.

Finishing in second place were the varsity lightweight men's coxed four with Bailey MacKenzie, Jordan Wille, Robert Cooper, Shane Mullen and Joe Kunkel, the varsity men's four with Steve Tuffner, Scott Macdonald, Jake Rothman, Eric Farquharson, and Mike Howard,  and the varsity men's eight with Will Kennedy, John Ross, Stephen Holloway, Mike Howard, Scott Macdonald, Joey Coward, Jake Rothman, Joe Kunkel,  and Ellie Aylward.
