“Claire is a solid post player with excellent skills around the hoop. Having followed her for a couple of years now, her game has really developed under the direction of Coach Tonizzo (Our Lady of Lourdes CHS) and Coach Bush (Tri-County Thunder JUEL team),” said Coach Wilson. “She is an excellent defensive communicator and rebounder that enjoys a physical style of play enabling her to make her presence felt in the paint. I look forward to working with her and watching her game continue to expand.”
Endicott, a 6-foot 1 post player, played for the Guelph Phoenix team that won both Division 1 and OBA championships along with an Eastern Nationals Championship title. The Guelph native attends Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic high school where she played on the senior basketball team and was named the MVP.
Over the past two seasons Endicott has played for the Tri-County Thunder JUEL team under Coach Allan Bush.
“I chose Queen's due to the specific program which underscores my strengths, as well as the University Women's basketball team that will provide me with the opportunity to grow as a player,” said Endicott on joining the Gaels. “With the smaller class size, unique campus, and new athletic facilities, Queen's University was the right choice for me.”
Endicott closes out the 2012 recruiting class for the women's basketball team as Endicott joins Emily Hazlett of Fredericton, N.B., Nicole Morse of Cottam, Ont., Robyn Pearson of Toronto, Ont., Laura Baker of West Vancouver, B.C. and Maria Gill of Holland Landing, Ont. for 2012.
