KINGSTON, Ont. (February 8, 2012) - The Queen's Gaels continue to wind down their seasons as they wrap up the regular season on the ice and close out their home schedule on the hardcourt while both volleyball teams gear up for playoff showdowns in one week's time.

MATCHUP OF THE WEEK - Basketball (M/W) vs. Ottawa

The Gaels will be looking to exact some revenge on their opponents from Ottawa this weekend as they take on the Gee-Gees in the ARC. During their eastern road swing three weeks ago, the Gaels were given a rough ride as both the men's and women's teams were beaten by double digits on the Gee-Gees home court.

The Gaels women enter the weekend on a three game winning streak and will look to keep their momentum rolling at home where they boast a 7-2 record. The men will also look to keep their win streak alive as they now sit just two points back of a playoff spot in the OUA East.

Queen's basketball fans will also be on full record watch this weekend as Brittany Moore of Hannon, Ont., sits just 23 points out of second place on the OUA's all-time scoring list.
