KINGSTON, Ont. (July 6, 2010) –
Karlye Wong and
Jocelyn Poirier, both from Ottawa, Ont., will depart for Canada's training camp tomorrow as they begin their preparations for the 2010 World University Rugby Sevens Championship in Porto, Portugal later this month.
The two fullbacks, who were also both OUA All-Stars this past year, are part of a squad of 14 CIS athletes who will look to bring home gold for Canada at the FISU event which runs from July 21 to 24.
Canada will play their round robin games in Pool B and will face competition from Great Britain, Guam and Norway.
