VANCOUVER, B.C. (July 13, 2010) - Queen's Track and Field star
Matt Hulse of Hartington, Ont., followed up his silver medal at the Vancouver Sun International Invitational with another outstanding performance and personal best at the Victoria International Track Classic, July 7 at University of Victoria.
Hulse finished with a bronze medal, crossing the finish line of the Men's International 1500m race in a time of three minutes, 42.63 seconds. That time was less than two seconds off the gold medal performance of Geoff Martinson who won the race in 3:40.92
Hulse, whose personal best at the beginning of the summer was 3:49, is now just three seconds off the qualifying standard for the 2010 Commonwealth Games being held this summer in Delhi, India.
