TORONTO (March 9, 2010) – OUA Rookie of the Year Erin Roberts of Calgary, narrowly missed out on a berth to the World University Games as she finished second in the women's open category at the 2010 Black Knight University and College Squash Championships.

Roberts was one of four Gaels competitors who finished in the Top 6 in their respective categories at the event, hosted by the University of Toronto.

Roberts battled eventual winner Micaala Seth from the University of Waterloo in the Women's Open final. After Roberts captured two of the first three games, Seth battled back to win the next two and capture the championship.

Other Gaels competing were Heather Lamb of Calgary, who finished sixth in the Women's Open division, Erik Zufelt of Barrie, Ont., who finished fourth in the Men's A division and Gwyneth Ross of Newton, Mass., who finished sixth in the Women's C division.
