KINGSTON, Ont. (January 17, 2010) - The OUA East Qualifiers were held at Royal Military College this past weekend. Both squads put in strong performances in individual events and qualified all six teams in the team relay event with two of them ranking first in the East.

Qualifying for the Women's Individual Events were:

Sydney Houston-Goudge, Women's Épeé (2nd in the East)
Nora Magyarody, Women's Epee

Nancy Chua, Women's Foil

Stacey McDonald, Women's Sabre
Kim Sakkal, Women's Sabre

Qualifying for the Women's Team Relay events were:

Women's Epee: Laura Bartha, Sydney Houston-Goudge, Nora Magyarody, Janice Lao.
Women's Foil: Michelle Lo, Nancy Chua, Faye Sun, Trang Tran.
Women's Sabre: Stacey McDonald, Kim Sakkal, Beth Padden, Safia Dhanji.

Qualifying for the OUA Men's Individual Events were:

Mario Gibney, Men's Epee
Danny Jang, Men's Epee
David McBey, Men's Epee

Christian Petrozza, Men's Foil (3rd in the East)
Dean Loubert, Men's Foil

Frank Beaucage-Gauvreau, Men's Sabre (1st in the East)
Scott Bowman, Men's Sabre
Martin Busse, Men's Sabre

Qualifying for the Men's Team Relay events were:

Men's Epee (1st in the East): Jack Chen, Mario Gibney, Danny Jang, Aleks Wittkamp.
Men's Sabre (1st in the East): Frank Beaucage-Gauvreau, Scott Bowman, Martin Busse, Jimmy Wintle.
Men's Foil: Christian Petrozza, Dean Loubert, Chris Perez, Matt Kaiser
