Kingston, Ont. (February 21, 2009) - Queen's University and Royal Military College (RMC) were featured during a national television segment on CBC's Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday.
The three-minute segment highlighted the hockey rivalry between the two schools in particular the Carr-Harris Cup which was played on February 6. Gaels defenseman

Brett Gibson were interviewed along with RMC forward Paul Bradley and RMC head coach Adam Shell.
David Carr-Harris and historian Bill Fitsell were also interviewed.

The segment aired at approximately 4:45pm (EST) following the Ottawa vs. Montreal matinee matchup. It also aired in primetime on Thursday night during the Pittsburgh vs. Montreal matchup as a preview to Hockey Day in Canada..
Kingston's own Don Cherry also referenced the segment during Coaches Corner in the first intermission of the Vancouver vs. Toronto game.
Hockey Day in Canada is an annual special broadcast to celebrate the game in Canada that includes features all afternoon, leading up to a tripleheader of NHL action featuring the six Canadian teams
This year lead commentators, Ron MacLean and Don Cherry broadcast from Campbellton, N.B. The broadcast included live broadcast segments from smaller communities' across the country and featured panel discussions on issues facing "Canada's game" at both the minor and pro levels.
